Description
The RX-78-4 Gundam Unit 4 that appears in the game “Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space” and the related manga “Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Space, To the End of a Flash” is available in the Master Grade series. The Gundam Unit 4 was piloted by Ruce Cassel in the last months of the One Year War. Cassel served as part of the 16th Autonomous Mobile Squadron and was assigned to the Pegasus-class warship SCVA-72 Thoroughbred. Unit 4 was originally designed by Kunio Okawara for the “M-MSV” design series. The design was later updated by Hajime Katoki for the video game “Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space.“ This model kit is based on the Katoki redesign. It reproduces weapons and equipment seen in the game: the Mega Beam Launcher, Beam Rifle, forearm mounted Beam Gun x 2, 60mm Head Vulcan x 2, Beam Saber x 2, Folding Shield, and the booster unit, which grants the mobile suit more speed, maneuverability, and operating time. The booster unit is removable, allowing you to display the kit in either of its two versions. The beam guns on the forearms are also removable and the shield collapses into its folded state. Despite being an early Master Grade the kit features many points of articulation new at the time of its original release: double jointed elbows, knees, and forward swinging shoulders. The energy cable from the battery pack to the Mega Beam Launcher is reproduced with a lead wire. Box contents: runner x 10, polycap runner, beam saber effect parts, screws, lead wire, dry transfer decals, sticker sheet, foil sticker sheet, and instruction manual.
